Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku
Jigokuraku
Gabimaru the Hollow, a ninja assassin, was captured during a mission and was sentenced to be executed, but a strange supernatural force keeps him from being killed. Executioner of the Yamada Asaemon, Sagiri, proposes a plan to allow Gabimaru the chance to be pardoned of all crimes by the Shogunate if he were to find the elixir of life on Shinsenkyo, a mysterious realm southwest of the Ryukyu Kingdom. The Shogunate had already sent five expedition teams to the island and failed, so this time they decided to send a group of death row convicts to accomplish the task. Each accompanied by a Yamada Asaemon executioner, any convict able to return alive will be rewarded with their own pardon.
